Overview: Billing itself as a more intimate alternative to traditional cruises, the Explorer is a crewed yacht charter able to accomodate up to 6 guests (for larger groups their sister ship, the Ursa Major, can house up to 8 and the two boats can be used in tandem). Every element of this trip is customized to suit your desires, from the itinerary to the kind of food served at meals (have a craving for Thai green curry? No problem). The boat itself is luxurious, with a teak interior and an entertainment center and camcorder for recording those beautiful Alaska moments. Sample destinations: One sample itinerary explores the endless labyrinth of channels, passages, fjords, bays and straits from Ketchikan in the south to Skagway at the north end of Lynn Canal. This is only one of an infinite number of routes which guests choose themselves.
