Swimming Beaches in Seattle
Despite our reputation for rain, Seattle offers some terrific beach fun. Okay, so it ain't Malibu, but then again, we're greener!

These beaches (except Alki, which is not a swimming beach) usually open (staffed with lifeguards) from late June through early September, weather permitting:

Alki Beach Park 1702 Alki Ave. SW

Matthews Beach 9300 - 51st Ave. NE

West Green Lake Beach 7312 W Green Lake Dr.

Madison Beach 1900 - 43rd E

Mount Baker Beach 2301 Lake Washington Blvd. S

Seward Beach 5900 Lake Washington Blvd. S

These beaches are open from June 23 through August 26, weather permitting:

East Green Lake Beach 7201 E Green Lake Dr.

Magnuson Beach 7400 Sand Point Way NE

Madrona Beach 800 Lake Washington Blvd. S

Pritchard Beach 8400 - 56th S.
