Ravenna-Cowen Park
Ravenna and Cowen parks are in a pretty wooded ravine just north of the University District. It is a great place to jog and picnic, or just go for a walk in the woods.

Remarks:Vashon Glacial Ice Sheet formed the Ravenna Park ravine as well as Haller, Bitter, and Green Lakes. WW Beck, a realtor who bought the place in 1887, named the place after an Italian seacoast town famous for its pine tress. He was ecstatic when wandering among the trees. In the Italian town warriors, poets, and statesmen would stroll among the trees in a similar state ago.
