Safety Considerations
Safety is an important concern in all outdoor activities. No cue sheet/map can alert you to every hazard or anticipate the limitations of every reader, so the descriptions in this cue sheet are not representations that a particular trip is safe for your party.
When you take a trip, you assume responsibility for your own safety. Places in the cue sheet may require you to do no more than look both ways before crossing the street; in others, more attention to safety may be required due to terrain, traffic, weather, the capabilities of your party, or other factors.
Keeping informed on current conditions and exercising common sense are the keys to a safe, enjoyable bike ride.
Always, be sure to wear a helmet and urge your companions to do so as well.
Additionally, many of the routes may be subject to development and/or change since they were last updated, making use of them unwise. Always check for current conditions, respect posted private property signs, and avoid confrontations with property owners and managers.
