Triton Cove state park

Location

Triton Cove State Park is located seven miles south of Dosewallips State Park and five miles north of Eldon on the Hood Canal.

Acreage

28.5 acres with 592.7 feet of shoreline on Triton Cove.

Acquired

Triton Cove State Park was acquired in two parcels, both in 1990, for a total cost of $888,368.

Historical Background

A gas station and small store were located on the property in the 1930s. Following World War II, the property was purchased and developed as a private resort. It changed ownership but continued to be operated as a resort and launch until State Parks acquisition.

Facilities

6 picnic sites - including 3 with tables, 20 parking spaces, boat launch, outhouse, moorage dock.
