Moses Lake state park

Location

In Grant County, five miles west of downtown Moses Lake, off Interstate 90.

Acreage

78 acres with 862 feet of freshwater shoreline on Moses Lake.

Acquired

The park was acquired in five parcels; the first in 1945 and the last in 1967.

Historical Background

The name of the park, as well as the community and the lake, honors Chief Moses, whose tribe used the lake shore as a campground.

Facilities

77 picnic sites, 2 picnic shelters, vault toilet, 2 comfort stations, swimming, bathhouse, residence, shop, unguarded swimming beach, and 2-lane boat launch. The Commission has a concession agreement for the sale of food and beverages.

Activities

Boating, fishing, ice skating, picnicking, scuba diving, swimming, and water skiing.
