Jarrell Cove State Park

Location

Jarrell Cove State Park is located on the northwest end of Harstine Island, Mason County.

Acreage

42.62 acres with 3,506 feet of saltwater shoreline on Pickering Passage.

Acquired

Jarrel Cove was acquired in four parcels; the first in 1953 and the last in 1969, for a total cost of $12,300.

Historical Background

The site was named for the first woman settler on the island, Mrs. Philora Jarrell.

Facilities

17 picnic sites, 2 picnic shelters, 20 tent sites, group camp, comfort station, marine pumpout, 2 docks and moorage piers, 14 mooring buoys, and administrative area.

Activities

Picnicking, hiking, boating, clamming, camping and fishing.
