Location:
Belfair State Park is located on the lower hook of Hood Canal, three miles west of the town of Belfair on State Route 300.

62.46 acres with 3,720 feet of saltwater shoreline on Hood Canal.
Acquired
Belfair State Park was acquired in eleven parcels, between 1952 and 1991, for a total of $304,034.83.
Historical Background
The park was officially named in February 1952. It was named for the town of Belfair. During construction of the facilities many Indian arrowheads were located. It was determined that this central location had been a meeting place for many generations of Indians.
Facilities
The camp area has a total of 184 campsites, 47 with trailer hookups. There are three comfort stations, day use area with 205 tables and bathhouse/comfort station, 290 feet of unguarded swimming beach, one horseshoe pit, and a play area. The swimming beach is in an enclosed man-made saltwater basin, controlled by a tide gate.
Of Special Interest
Beaches are closed to clam and oyster harvesting due to pollution at the end of Hood Canal.

Camping, picnicking, beachcombing, kite flying and crabbing.
